Bio / Self introduction

I have been teaching guitar professionally since 1992, when Don’t Fret Guitar Instruction was established. Over the years, I have taught countless students (beginners to advanced) how to play or improve their chops. Past students include four members of PROTEST THE HERO. I am the author of four books, three on guitar and one on bass. These methods have served me very well over the years.

In today’s lesson we’ll be checking out a cool practice technique you can use to practice connecting arpeggios smoothly. An important part of learning a new jazz standard or chord progression is mapping out the arpeggios for a tune. Besides being some of the most important patterns you can learn on the guitar, arpeggios are great because you can define a chord with only 4 notes.
