Bruce Noble

Bruce Noble grew up in Moncton, New Brunswick and started playing guitar at age 10. He played in bands all through junior high and high school. While juggling his schoolwork, he also toured extensively throughout Atlantic Canada. After graduation Bruce joined up with a musical act from London, England and toured Canada. He played with popular progressive rock bands Junction and Aquafuge throughout Atlantic Canada.

Eventually Bruce moved to Los Angeles, California in 1979 to attend Hollywood's famous music school, Musician's Institute, GIT. While in LA, he studied and played with world renowned rock and jazz greats such as MI founder Howard Roberts, and studio legend & world's most recorded guitarist, Tommy Tedesco. Branching out, he also studied with fusion and session players Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, Robben Ford, Joe Diorio, Pat Metheny and many others. During his Hollywood years, he performed and recorded with several artists and bands at clubs such as The Troubadour and The Whiskey-A-Go-Go. A special experience at that time was an appearance in a scene in the "Blues Brothers" movie with Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi !

After graduation from MI, specializing in Guitar Performance, Composition and Education he returned to Canada for a tour with Canadian legends Mashmakan. Having built up his skills and experience in the United States, Bruce then moved back to Halifax, Canada, settling in to a busy teaching and performing schedule. In the early 90's Bruce put together the band for recording artist Edde Maxx for the worldwide distributed CD on the Sony label and also found time to perform in three videos which played on MTV, Much Music and throughout Europe. Additionally, Bruce has made several trips to England where he has played and recorded with many different artists.

Teaching at the Canadian Conservatory of Music, Bruce taught several thousand students and developed curriculum forGuitar, Bass, and Drums which enabled Rock, Blues, Jazz and Metal students to have a graded and fluid approach to their studies.

Bruce sought a change after 20 years and set up a recording studio and started accepting projects from various artis where they may bring lyrics and then all the other pieces are written and played by him.

About me:

Bruce Noble Graduated from  GIT  Musicians Institute in Hollywood California! I feel my role on this site could be used in a number of of ways, I would like to help all players find their own voice  as artists and become an individual with a style unemcumbered by a lack of knowledege or technique. So as we move through lessons we can use Blues, Jazz, Rock, or Country music to achieve the improvisational approaches we will strive for,  Music is Music, it all comes down to having an approach which is will work for you,and seperate you from the pack of other players that you may be playing with.  http://connectnow.acrobat.com/brucen14
