Our training clients primarily work in large organizations. They usually approach us with the goal of influencing the behavior of people in a variety of locations and functional areas.Often they are introducing a program or new initiative. They want people to understand the underlying concepts, learn to use new methods and procedures.
Sometimes we create workshops with presentation materials, leader's guides, learner guides and support activities. More and more often, however, we look for alternatives to classroom- type training. We find ways to get information and instructional resources to the work site using print and electronic media.
We help our clients develop a performance support strategy, answering the following questions:
Feel free to explore our training samples to see various applications of this approach to organizational learning.
- How will this new behavior benefit learners? How is it integrated with other processes and policies? How can they get clarification and support?
- What event or circumstance will trigger the new behavior? How do we get people to recognize this event and act differently than they have in the past?
- Must new procedures be learned, or can they be made available as needed, in a print or online resource? How can we organize and present information clearly (flow chart, activity table, etc.)?
- Will the information need to be updated regularly or frequently? What are the issues of access and distribution? Which combination of print and electronic media are best suited to the topic, the audience and the environment?
